First Flight Resident Company NALA Membranes secures $1.5M Investment

[Durham, NC, 6 July 2022] – North Carolina startup, NALA Membranes, successfully closed a $1.5 million investment round to support commercialization of a new generation of chlorine resistant membranes for reverse osmosis applications. Commercial reverse osmosis membranes on the market today are damaged by chlorine that is often used to control biological/bacterial growth in water. Inefficient membranes require more energy to operate and create a higher carbon footprint that is counter to ESG goals that many investors have.

First Flight is proud to host innovative companies like NALA Membranes, and is looking forward to NALA’s bright future in membrane technology.
