First Flight Welcomes Mark Roberson as Hangar6 Director

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – March 28, 2022– First Flight Venture Center is excited to announce that long-time First Flight resident, Mark Roberson, Ph.D. will be taking on the position of Director at Hangar6, First Flight's advanced prototyping facility.

With over 50 patents and numerous grant proposals under his belt during his career, Mark is the perfect person to take Hangar6 into its next stage of development.’"

Dr. Roberson received his B.S. in Physics from Wake Forest University and his Ph.D. in Physics, from Princeton University. He founded Goldfinch Sensor Technologies and Analytics in 2015 to develop and deploy next generation sensors and analytics, using electromagnetic, optical, and geophysical sensors for persistent surveillance and monitoring. He has 25+ years of experience in bench and field technology development as well as leadership at the Senior Director level. Dr. Roberson has technical experience working as Principal Investigator on Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and commercial sensor development programs.
