Evan Edwards
Evan Edwards is a seasoned Executive and is President at Kymanox where he supports overall business strategy and growth, as well as oversees the Quality, Regulatory, and Human Factors and Regulatory Strategy teams. Evan is also an Executive Advisor for the Company and provides strategic support for Sponsors as an expert in drug/device combination product development.
Prior to Kymanox, Evan was Co-Founder and Vice-President of Innovation, Development & Industrialization at kaléo Inc., a pharmaceutical company dedicated to building innovative solutions for serious and life threatening medical conditions. He is a co-inventor of the company’s drug delivery platforms, including epinephrine auto-injectors Auvi-Q® and Allerject® (in Canada), as well as EVZIO (naloxone HCL injection) AutoInjector. Since the launch of EVZIO, over 5500 lives saved with the product have been reported. Evan led the invention, innovation, device design, and industrialization for kaléo’s product portfolio. In addition, Evan was responsible for the management of the company’s intellectual property portfolio, where he is named on over 200 patents issued and pending domestically and abroad.
Evan is a Usability Engineering expert and has been recognized among his peers for his expertise, teaching, and work in human factors engineering (HFE). In addition, Evan serves on the Medical Devices for Injection and Human Factors Committees for the Association of the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and was co-faculty of AAMI’s HF for Medical Devices Workshop, where he has taught at the FDA Staff College.
Evan is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering with a concentration on HFE.
