Lou Anne Flanders-Stec

EVP of Entrepreneurship at the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce

As the EVP of Entrepreneurship at The Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Lou Anne Flanders-Stec, has the pleasure of working with entrepreneurs every day. Her current day to day includes developing programs and opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with mentors and capital and support them as they launch and grow their businesses.
Prior to returning to Greensboro, Lou Anne was the Executive Director at City University of New York’s (CUNY) Center for Student Entrepreneurship (CSE), a CUNY-wide student initiative and accelerator to increase entrepreneurship across all university campuses, and Professor of Entrepreneurship. As the founding Director of the Entrepreneurship Center and Associate Professor at High Point University, Lou Anne developed and managed entrepreneurship programs, built community relationships, and developed and taught the entrepreneurship courses.
Her entrepreneurial experience comes from working with many early stage companies - either as an employee or consultant. These experiences include as the Fund Executive for the Piedmont Angel Network, CFO for an early stage venture fund, CFO/Strategy officer for two privatively funded companies, consulting with over 20 early-stage/start-ups on funding and financial planning, and working within the family business.
Lou Anne holds an MBA in Finance from the University of North Texas and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Ouachita Baptist University. She has served on the boards of several national and community organizations including: Angel Capital Association, Greensboro Children’s Museum, Eastern Music Festival, and Spring Garden Community Church. Lou Anne was recognized as one of the Top Women in Business in the Triad in 2013 and was named one of the Piedmont Triad’s 50 Most Influential People for four years.
