Emmit Owens

Emmit Owens joined FFVC in July 2025 and brings a decade of non-profit experience along with a wealth of knowledge about North Carolina’s science and technology sectors. Emmit is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of FFVC and supporting the CEO, staff, and board.

Previously Emmit served as Senior Manager of Membership and Engagement and Interim Executive Director of the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster. Emmit has also served as a regional coordinator for the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, where he focused on the growth of the biotechnology sector in southeastern North Carolina. Emmit received his Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and his Bachelor of Arts degree in government from Campbell University.

When not at work, Emmit can be found spending time with his wife Jessica and their two daughters.
